Making Sense of Cloud Standards
3:30-5:30pm, Thursday 21st January 2010, London EC1

With so many standards bandied about, including ISO 27001, SAS-70, PCI and others, which intiatives should SaaS and cloud providers be adhering to -- or attempting to influence? How can the industry help customers make sense of standards when deciding how best to evaluate cloud and SaaS providers? Join this open discussion moderated by EuroCloud UK chair and well-known blogger Phil Wainewright, with expert viewpoints from:

  • Dr. Guy Bunker, independent consultant and blogger, formerly Symantec's chief scientist and co-author of ENISA's cloud security assessment document
  • Ian Moyse, Channel Director of SaaS provider Webroot
  • Adrian Wright, MD, Secoda Risk Management, formerly global head of information security at Reuters

Future EuroCloud UK events over coming months -- all free to members -- will cover topics such as Connecting across Europe; How ISVs adapt to the SaaS model; The user's perspective on SaaS and cloud; and Comparing cloud platforms. Other membership benefits include reduced rates on partner services and conferences, enhanced visibility as an industry player and the chance to influence the profile of the industry. Annual membership costs as little as £250 if you join now and pay before January 31st.
